Rollmops are pickled herring fillets, rolled (hence the name) into a cylindrical shape around slices of marinated cucumber. Rollmops are ready-to-eat. The marinade additionally contains water, white vinegar, salt, sugar, spices, onion rings, peppercorns and mustard seeds.
